River Valley Food 4 Kids

The mission of River Valley Food 4 Kids is to help alleviate hunger among children in the Arkansas River Valley by providing food when other sources of nutrition are not readily available and to provide education on the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

River Valley Food 4 Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to ensuring that no child in our community goes hungry. Our programs are primarily funded by private donations, and every dollar makes a difference—just $225 can provide a child with food for an entire year. That’s less than most of us spend on groceries in a single week. ​

Each week, we serve nearly 1,200 children across the Russellville, Atkins, Pottsville, Dover, and Hector School Districts through our backpack program. During the summer, we expand our reach to include children from surrounding areas, ensuring they continue to receive nutritious meals when school is out. ​
